SOVEREIGN

“Sovereign is the most important club concept to hit Ministry of Sound London in a generation.”

001 DJ SASHA, 002 DJ BEN KLOCK

The sovereign ring is a traditional form. Three elements: a coin, a coin mount, a ring mount. The structure hasn't changed in centuries. That's the point.

A limited series of bespoke sovereign rings - each one numbered, each one commissioned to mark the artists who have defined the Sovereign residency at Ministry of Sound.

DESIGN NOTES

The ring is built on the traditional sovereign form: a coin, a coin mount, a ring mount. Three elements. The same structure that has carried institutional power for centuries.

The coin face carries the Ministry of Sound logo on one side - the portcullis design drawn from the Houses of Parliament, the institution that inspired the club's founding identity. On the reverse: an Elephant, for Elephant and Castle, where the club was founded in 1991. The Ministry speaker stack sits on top of the Elephant. Est. 1991 inscribed to mark the year.

The portcullis projects from the band at every angle. The ring reads the same from every direction.

Each ring is numbered as part of a limited edition. Hallmarked. Handcrafted in Hatton Garden, London, in recycled 9K gold.
